Another Summer (Cello and Marimba)

Another Summer is a piece about the passage of time. The piece is framed with textures that represent reflection, while the bulk of the piece is filled with driving rhythms and patterns that illustrate the relentlessness of time. Both cello and marimba slide in and out of melodic and accompaniment roles. When they finally join to play together, the result is climactic.
