Long Fall (Trombone, Cello, 2 Percussion)

Long Fall is a chamber work for solo trombone, two percussionists, and cello. The majority of the piece is in a 13/16 time signature, broken into divisions of (4+3+6). The trombone player is featured while the cello provides a steady accompaniment and counter-lines. The two percussionists provide colorful effects, groove, and additional harmonic support with marimba and glockenspiel. Long Fall is a race to the end, ideal for an exciting recital project for college students.
