Shady, Mysteriously

"Shady, Mysteriously" is a beginning four-mallet marimba solo. This piece was written to familiarize students with the octatonic scale and double-lateral strokes. At times the piece is spooky and creeping. In others there are jump-scares and frenetic running away. This piece is perfect for performers looking for a Halloween piece, or just something different in general.
 
This piece can be played on either a 5-octave or 4.3 marimba, simply transpose the notes an octave higher for the latter.
