Stracciatella (Harp and Marimba)

Stracciatella is a harp and marimba duo that features the flowing, blending sounds of the two beautiful instruments. Stracciatella is a mixture of vanilla gelato with few bits of chocolate mixed in infrequently. Similarly, this piece's "vanilla" flowing sounds are infrequently interupted by "chocolate" bits of chromaticism and disjunction. 
 
Written for and premiered by my wife and I, this piece holds special significance for me, reminiscing about our trips to a gelato shop in Cleveland, Ohio, where I visited her during her time in grad school at CIM.
