The Desert Temple (Wind Ensemble)

Program Notes: The Desert Temple is a Grade 6 wind ensemble piece inspired by boss battle music found in video games.
 
The music follows the adventures of an explorer who has discovered an ancient desert temple. 
 
Instrumentation: Piccolo, 2 Flutes, 2 Oboes, 3 Clarinets, Bass Clarinet, Sop. Sax, Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Bari. Sax, 2 Bassoon, 4 Horns, 2 Trumpets, 2 Trombones, Bass Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba, Timpani, 4 Percussion (Glockenspiel, Bass Drum, Snare Drum, Triangle, Suspended Cymbal, 3 Opera Gongs, Mounted Rock Tambourine, Tam-Tam), Harp, Contrabass
