Theme (x3) And (x2) Variations (x1) is exactly that, a theme and variations on groupings of 3, 2, and 1. The piece is centered around synergy between the three players through balancing a variety of rhythmic and visual elements. The instrumentation includes a split drum-set between the three players (hi-hat for one player, snare for another, kick drum for the third) and toms and opera gongs that give the piece more sonic and visual interest.
