THE GOAT TRAIL

The Goat Trail is a beginning percussion ensemble piece commissioned and premiered by the Southridge 7th grade percussion ensemble, led by Corey Hubbard. The inspiration for the piece is a scenic trail in the Ozarks of Northwest Arkansas, towering over 500 feet in the air, with lush greenery below.

FINAL ENCOUNTER
Final Encounter is written for Grade 2 concert band. The piece follows an army marching off to meet a fierce dragon that has been wreaking havoc on their village.
CERTAIN UNCERTAINTY
Certain Uncertainty is written for flute, oboe, and bassoon with added percussion in each part. The piece is a reflection upon the uncertainty of the future.
OUTSIDE EYES
Outside Eyes is a piece for alto saxophone and vibraphone. It was commissioned and premiered by multiple woodwinds specialist Davon Carrington. The piece has a somber, moody tone that delves into the idea of perspective.
